The XSitePro Experience Makes a Showing on Yahoo

The XSitePro Experience is at last making a showing on Yahoo. Reading back through previous posts and you will see that I am a bit obsessive with Search Engine position. It’s not so much that I am concerned with the actual postion. Much more that I am trying to understand why a site ranks well on one search engine and not so well on another.

Obviously I understand that each search engine has its own algorithm. Yahoo, allegedly, still places great store on on-page factors. Google is dominated by links (one way links now rule). MSN’s algorithm seems to be pretty close to Yahoo.

Now recently I have been following Brad Callen’s SEO course. He emphasises getting basic on page factors right before quickly moving to concentrate on off-page factors. The XSitePro Experience was optimised according to the SEO optimiser built into XSitePro. Nevertheless there were a number of factors that Brad mentioned that I have now implemented - keywords in bold, and, moving the left hand column down a little to name but 2.

So, it is to be expected that Yahoo might like the site more.

But why is the top listed page actually this blog?

Answers on an order form for XSitePro please :)
